NES Financial to Sponsor Novogradac Opportunity Zones Spring Conference

NES Financial will sponsor the upcoming Novogradac 2019 Opportunity Zones Spring Conference, to be held in Denver, CO, on April 25–26th.

Novogradac’s conferences are among the OZ industry’s most anticipated events — more than 900 people attended their Fall Opportunity Zones Conference last year, and even more are expected later this month. Featured speakers will include thought leaders from both industry and government. The keynote will be delivered by Daniel Kowalski, Counselor to the Secretary at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Reid Thomas, Executive VP and General Manager of Specialty Financial Administration at NES Financial, will participate in the conference’s “Fund-Level Asset Management and Reporting” panel, speaking on industry best practices and possible approaches to tracking community impact.

“The potential capital flow into Opportunity Zones is very exciting to developers and fund managers,” said Mr. Thomas. “However, especially given evolving Treasury guidance, they must be careful to adhere to the best practices of other, more established financial industries if they want to earn investor trust.”

Since NES Financial introduced its purpose-built Opportunity Zone Fund Administration Suite, its solutions have quickly become the benchmark for institutional-grade OZ Fund administration, offering the maximum in security, transparency and compliance to Opportunity Funds and their investors.

At the conference, NES Financial will also distribute its newly published white paper, “Opportunity Funds: Best Practices for Stakeholders in a Developing Compliance Landscape.” The white paper is intended as a guide for Opportunity Fund managers who want to minimize compliance risk, maximize community impact and increase investor confidence in their offering.
