ICSC’s Western Division Conference was a great success

We just returned from the ICSC Western Region Conference in San Diego. It is great to see the momentum picking up again in commercial real estate, specifically retail and shopping centers.  We networked and mingled with those who stopped by our booth and made some terrific connections at the event.

We heard from many attendees that they are starting to do more 1031 exchanges and how it is hard to find independent Qualified Intermediaries as many of the smaller ones left the business (in a future blog I will discuss the importance of an independent QI).  When choosing a 1031 provider to help you with your tax-deferred exchange, it’s important to know how they stack up against the 1031 industry’s set of best practices including:

  1. Compliance to Federal Tax Regulations
  2. Security of Funds
  3. Reporting Protection
  4. Advanced Technologies used to manage the exchange and provide transparency for investors
  5. Additional Federal Regulatory Compliance
  6. Full Line of Exchange Products

Click here for the complete list of best practices.  Working with NES Financial you can be sure your exchange will be handled by the leading 1031 exchange provider.
