ICSC RECon 2014 is a huge success

My colleagues and I had the pleasure of attending last week’s RECon in Las Vegas, and once again, the event did not disappoint.

The 1031 exchange market continues to gain momentum, as many people are starting to see the benefit of using this type of exchange to defer taxes. Attendees were impressed with the fact that NES Financial is the largest independent Qualified Intermediary in the country, processing over $85B annually, and our General Counsel helped develop significant 1031 guidance during her tenure at the IRS National Office.

The EB-5 program seems to be more mainstream this year – approximately every 9 out of 10 people knew something about it. This is a dramatic increase from just a couple of years ago when the program was almost unheard of among CRE professionals. With the growing need to fund development projects, and do so with a relatively cheap cost of capital, CRE developers have been using EB-5 as part of their capital stakes.

NES Financial is the leading provider of EB-5 solutions on the market, having worked on over 200 EB-5 projects. Our unique suite of EB-5 solutions was designed specifically for the industry and tracks and manages the flow of funds and immigration documentation throughout the entire EB-5 life cycle. NES Financial handles the back and middle office administration, so you can focus on the most important aspect of your project – achieving success.

It was great speaking with all of you – both new and familiar faces. We look forward to seeing you again at next year’s RECon!
