EB-5 reauthorization picks up momentum in Congress

IIUSA’s Executive Director, Peter Joseph, recently shared some insight on Congress’ efforts to permanently reauthorize of the EB-5 Program.

As reported last week, there is momentum in DC to reauthorize the EB-5 Regional Center Program. Here are the details:

  • Yesterday, Senator Leahy (D-VT) and Senator Grassley (R-IA) introduced cosponsored legislation, S. 3245. The bill would permanently reauthorize the EB-5 Regional Center Program along with: E-verify, CONRAD 30, and Religious workers. For details on the legislation,

  • Earlier in the week, a three year reauthorization was included in the Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS) FY2013 Appropriations bill recommended out of the Senate Appropriations Committee. This is essentially a Plan B that I am reporting as an FYI, but not something for us to focus on right now.
