Job description

The Senior Business Analyst is a key part of NES Financial’s core product development team. We are looking for a smart, dynamic and solution focused analyst who has excellent communication skills and able to iterate through the requirements in phases. The successful individual will be a self-starter with analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving abilities; a proven ability to liaise between business/implementation and technology teams; and strong collaboration skills

Responsibilities Include

  • Perform as the Product Owner for the application
  • Evaluate and document business processes using a variety of tools to uncover opportunities for improvement
  • Perform requirements analysis, documenting and communicating the results of your efforts
  • Write user stories, functional specifications, and work with engineering to build solutions
  • Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance the application
  • Gather and document critical information from meetings, organize and publish on Confluence
  • Light project management work
  • Perform some QA and user acceptance testing
  • Create, Update and Maintain user documentation and train users
  • Work with Client, Program and Product Management to prioritize backlog
  • Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Lead and manage onboarding of customers to platform
  • Collaborate with Product Management to help drive road map
  • Communicate to Marketing and others as new features are added and assist in efforts for messaging

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA
  • 4+ years of experience as an IT Business Analysis or a related field
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
  • Knowledge of MS Excel (specifically, advanced formulas, pivot tables and charts)
  • Proficiency with large, complex information systems, data elements and reporting tools
  • Must be able to produce meaningful process flows and swim lanes
  • Have enough technical background to hold meaningful conversations with Development
  • Familiar with SQL Queries
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills required
  • Experience in the financial services, specifically private equity investment industry
  • Agile/scrum experience
  • Previous use of Confluence, Jira, Lucidcharts, and other online collaboration and diagraming tools a plus
  • CSM or CPO preferred
  • Position requires some travel, depending on stage of projects involved in
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S., NES Does not sponsor work visas.
